World DanceSport Federation will host it’s first Breaking Judges Congress online. This is to obtain the WDSF Adjudicators license to use the Three Folds system and later the Trivium system.

In preparation for the WDSF World Breaking Championships, Dance Sport South Africa (DSSA), the local WDSF member body, has been tasked with the function of hosting a National qualifier to select the male and female representatives for South Africa at the global event.

We are extremely pleased to let you know that the International Olympic Committee has just confirmed that Breaking has been added to the sports programme for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games!
The 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children Campaign (16 Days Campaign) is a United Nations campaign which takes place annually from 25 November (International Day of No Violence against Women) to 10 December (International Human Rights Day). Other key commemorative days during this period include World Aids Day on the 1st December and the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, on 3 December of every year.
Vision 2022: By 2022 all schools should have dance as a formal sport with a fully functional National League, South Africa should be well represented by a National team in all dance genres.

Breaking requires as much -if not, more- training and hours put in as any other sport in the Olympics.
